This is the second course in a 3 course series at IOT node level. Sense is one of the key functionalities any embedded system possesses for fetching the data from the real world. The course will start with an introduction to Software engineering for Embedded Systems, covers concepts of concurrency, GPIO’s, analog interfacing, timers, programming techniques for power-efficient computing, dynamic memory access (DMA) and most importantly serial communication (UART, SPI, I2C…) used for interfacing the controller with the sensors
What is the objective of this course?
This is the second course in a 3 course series at IOT node level. Sense is one of the key functionalities any embedded system possesses for fetching the data from the real world. The course will start with an introduction to Software engineering for Embedded Systems, covers concepts of concurrency, GPIO’s, analog interfacing, timers, programming techniques for power-efficient computing, dynamic memory access (DMA) and most importantly serial communication (UART, SPI, I2C…) used for interfacing the controller with the sensors. The other 2 courses in this series will cover “Compute” i.e. compute/ processing functionality of IOT nodes and “Connect” i.e., connectivity capability of IoT nodes.
