About the course
A senior-leader microcredential for executives running AI transformation, anchored in IEEE CertifAIEd. Covers organizational AI maturity, strategic risk triage, cross-functional governance design, and the cultural shifts required to operate safely at speed.
Course Objectives:
AI transformation is not the next phase of digital transformation; it is a different kind of organizational change. ERP and cloud changed where work happened. Mobile and SaaS changed who could reach it. AI changes who, or what, is making the decisions. Leaders who treat AI as a procurement decision rather than an architectural one tend to end up with a patchwork of point solutions, inconsistent oversight, and governance structures that were never designed for the systems now running inside them.
This microcredential gives senior leaders a structured way to lead AI transformation without that outcome. Learners assess their organization's AI maturity across data, talent, governance, and culture using a standardized framework. They operationalize the IEEE 11016906 risk taxonomy at the strategic level to triage AI projects into fast-track, monitor, or block categories. They design cross-functional AI task forces with clearly defined decision rights, implement agile governance loops for safe-to-fail experimentation, and develop the cultural conditions for transparent, human-overseen AI decision-making at scale.
The four IEEE CertifAIEd pillars are presented throughout as business value drivers, sources of stakeholder trust, regulatory readiness, and competitive differentiation, rather than as a compliance checklist.
Target audience
Senior leaders, department heads, CAIOs, CIOs, CDOs, and change agents responsible for AI strategy and AI-related operational risk. The course is designed for executives who need a defensible, IEEE-aligned approach to AI transformation, rather than a purely technical or purely strategic one
